“Rewear It” by M.I.A The Video That’s Supporting H&M World Recycle Week

Uncategorized

So I am what you may call a “growing fan” of M.I.A since she first came out so I have been growing for a while but this new campaign that she has going on with H&M might have stapled her into my heart. What is the campaign you may ask? Well, it is the World Recycle Week that last from April 18-24 where it encourages you and I to drop off unwanted clothing. No matter the brand or condition. If you want to take those old Easter Sunday clothes your mama gave you years ago that you know you are not going to wear anymore…take those to your local H&M or just be stuck with them…FOREVA!! *Cardi B Voice* In the effort to gain awareness to the campaign M.I.A released “Rewear It“, a new video and song that has her dancing on a piles of fabric with some cool little dances moves. Something that stood out to me would be that the video was shot all around the world not only in the United States but in other places such as China and Africa. It showed the positive impact of donating clothing to H&M.

M.I.A said, “If all [H&M] do is go and inspire another high-street brand to get in on caring and being conscious, or if H&M gets criticized for any of their factory processes, these are all good things,” and “We should discuss them in public and we should have this back and forth At least they’re even stepping into the [environmentally conscious] arena. Any of those things is progressive, and I think you have to give it a chance.”

So pretty much to keep it short this blogger will be donating his clothes very soon.

I SPOKE ON IT!!!
